Your Role

RPM’s Business Development Sales team is seeking a passionate, self-starter for prospecting and onboarding of new business opportunities in the remarketing vehicle space (used cars). Remarketing BD Sales Rep is responsible for identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, presenting services and quotes that address those needs, closing sales, and maintaining customer relationships while consistently meeting sales targets, often through proactive outreach and building rapport with prospects; key responsibilities include lead generation, product demonstrations, managing sales pipelines, and delivering persuasive sales presentations to convert leads into paying customers. In the Cradle-to-Grave model, a single individual owns the full life cycle of a load, from the cradle to the grave. That includes pricing, tender acceptance, load building, load booking (as needed or desired), and full load life cycle management.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on potential sales prospects (40+ cold calls per day)
  • Client relationship management + communication + problem resolution
  • Compliance with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms (Salesforce)
  • Shipment execution and maintaining SLAs, expectations of service
  • Quoting / Building shipments for booking
     

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BA/BS degree preferred, but not required
  • Relevant Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation industries preferred
  • Strong inter-departmental and client relationship building skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment that requires multi-tasking and delegation when necessary.
  • VT Spot pricing or carrier sales experience
  • High speed processing skills
  • Work full-time M-F, and willing to work outside normal business hours based on the needs of the business
