Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Key Account Manager to join our team at a leading finished vehicle logistics brokerage. As a Sales & Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients in the automotive industry, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth. This role requires experience in finished vehicle logistics or brokerage operations, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with RPM's key clients in the automotive industry
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries
    • Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and requirements to provide tailored logistics solutions
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of services and exceed client expectations
       
  • Business Development
    • Identify opportunities for business growth within existing accounts and new prospects
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand market share and increase revenue
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay updated on industry trends and maintain a competitive edge
    • Present value propositions and negotiate contracts with clients to maximize profitability
 
  • Operational Excellence
    • Work closely with the operations and accounting team to ensure smooth execution of logistics services
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess service quality and proactively address any issues
    • Analyze logistics data and generate reports for clients, highlighting performance, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
       
  • Team Collaboration
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding client requirements, service improvements, and issue resolution
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Sales & Key Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role within the finished vehicle logistics or 3rd party brokerage environment
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM software and other relevant business tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • This is a Hybrid-Remote position, based in Amsterdam, NL
