Your Role

Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, the FP&A Manager is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for internal and external use. The candidate will ensure that the reporting has quality analytics and is in compliance with company standards and GAAP reporting guidelines. Additionally responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash flows and ad-hoc variance analysis and reporting. The position demands an intuitive and go-getter attitude to provide off-the-shelf analysis in and around the business, ensuring that multiple businesses are supported in their decisions and targets.


 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling & Systems: Own and enhance financial models, forecasting tools, and planning systems leveraging advanced Excel and ERP platforms to improve accuracy and scalability.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial and operational results through variance analysis and data modeling to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Reporting: Deliver timely financial reporting packages, forecasts, and KPI dashboards that provide clear visibility into business performance.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process using Excel and NetSuite (or similar ERP/EPM platforms) in partnership with business leaders to support strategic and operational planning.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to department leaders through financial insights, scenario analysis, and performance guidance.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury: Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and administration of credit facilities and financing activities.
  • Capital & Investment Analysis: Evaluate capital investments, financing alternatives, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives using financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, planning workflows, and system-enabled processes.
  • Cost Management: Monitor cost performance, analyze cost drivers, and lead initiatives that improve efficiency and margin performance.
  • Strategic Projects: Support executive leadership and board-level initiatives through financial analysis, modeling, and ad-hoc projects.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred)
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, accounting, audit, or financial analysis roles
  • Demonstrated financial reporting and analysis expertise, including financial models, GAAP, ERP systems, variance analysis, and reporting best practices
  • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modeling, database tools, and data visualization, with the ability to generate, analyze, and communicate large volumes of data effectively
  • Experience working within ERP and EPM platforms (NetSuite or similar systems preferred)
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain finance, including understanding of margin optimization, variable cost modeling, and operational cost drivers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders internally and externally
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-directed with a proactive mindset, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and problem-solving in dynamic environments
  • Ability to manage diverse responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail and a strategic perspective
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills
